Our Housekeeping Services Team at Fair Havens will be holding ‘Meet & Greet’ sessions so you can learn more about the role.
During the 1hr 30 minute session, you will:
• Tour the area you will potentially be volunteering in
• Be introduced to the Housekeeping Team
• Receive a briefing which outlines what the role involves
• Get the chance to ask the Housekeeping Manager any questions or concerns you may have

We are looking for volunteers to assist our Housekeeping team at Fair Havens with the housework, vacuum cleaning, laundry, ironing etc.
Havens Hospices provides specialist care and support to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions. .

When you volunteer as a housekeeper for us, there is a variety of tasks such as; Assisting with the housework, general cleaning duties, changing beds, mopping floors, hoovering, chatting to patients, cleaning windows etc
The role involves volunteers undergoing some online training courses on the E-LFH platform, an enhanced DBS check and 2 references.
For our volunteers roles we require satisfactory recruitment checks, being reliable and giving as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your shift, maintaining confidentiality of charity information and adhering to GDPR (Data protection) regulations and carrying out your role to the best of your ability, enthusiasm and professionalism.
We look to cover out of pocket travel expenses (excluding taxes), offer a certificate of volunteering upon request, thank you events for volunteers, celebrating volunteer week and a named manager to support you in your role.
