Our Adult Counselling Service at Havens Hospices is expanding, and we need additional qualified volunteer counsellors to meet this growing demand. You will primarily be working with those who have been bereaved, but at times you may be asked to work with a client who is living with an incurable condition or a family member of someone living with an incurable condition.

Alongside our weekday daytime appointments, our Counselling Service is expanding to offer sessions on weekday evenings (5pm – 8pm), and on a Saturday daytime. We would like to hear from you if you can commit to seeing a minimum of three clients a week.

Havens Hospices provides specialist care and support for people of all ages who are living with incurable conditions and their families. Our specialist team offers a wide range of care and support options for patients and their loved ones, based on their needs and wishes. This can be in the comfort of their own home, in the hospices – Fair Havens for adults or Little Havens for children - or a combination.

Volunteering at Havens Hospices allows you to give the gift of time to families, creating memories. Although you may not be giving direct care to our patients, your contribution will have an immediate effect on our care services.
